The app will not install — I am getting an error on the Shopify App Store.

First, make sure you are installing from within your Shopify admin (Apps → Search for Legible) rather than directly from a browser link. Legible requires Shopify OAuth — direct URL installs sometimes stall. If the error persists, email us your shop domain and the exact error message you see.

My score seems wrong — products look fine to me but Legible rates them low.

Legible scores against AI-agent readiness criteria, not general product quality. A product page that looks great to human visitors may still score low on structured data or description specificity — the things AI shopping agents actually parse. Open the product detail view in the dashboard for a per-pillar breakdown and specific recommendations. If a score looks genuinely wrong (e.g. a rich description scored as empty), please let us know — include the product handle and we will investigate.

The catalog sync is stuck or has not updated since I made changes.

Syncs are triggered on demand from the dashboard. If a sync started more than 10 minutes ago and still shows "In progress", it may have stalled. Try refreshing the page — if the status resets, kick off a new sync manually. If it gets stuck again, email us your shop domain and we will check the server logs.

I have a billing question — I was charged unexpectedly or want to change plans.

All billing is managed by Shopify — we never handle payment details directly. To cancel or change your plan, go to your Shopify admin → Settings → Apps → Legible. If you believe you were charged after uninstalling, or if you have a question about a specific charge, email us at hamza@trylegible.com with your shop domain and charge date and we will sort it out promptly.

I want to uninstall — how do I make sure my data is deleted?

Uninstalling from your Shopify admin (Settings → Apps → Legible → Uninstall) automatically triggers our data-deletion pipeline. Your catalog data, scores, and session token are permanently purged within 30 days. If you want expedited deletion or confirmation, email us after uninstalling and we will confirm when the purge is complete. See Data retention in our Privacy Policy for full details.

What to include when you contact us

The more context you give us up front, the faster we can help. Ideally include:

  • Shop domain — your .myshopify.com URL
  • Plan tier — Starter, Pro, or Business
  • Browser and version — e.g. Chrome 124, Safari 17
  • Steps to reproduce — what you clicked, what you expected, what happened instead
  • Screenshots or screen recording — if relevant, a picture saves a lot of back-and-forth
