Up and running
in three steps.

  1. Install from Shopify

    Enter your store domain above and click Continue with Shopify. You'll land on your store's install screen to approve four read scopes.

    • Four read scopes: read_products, read_locales, read_translations, and read_orders.
    • read_orders is data-minimized — Legible reads only order quantities, products, and totals to show your before/after sales impact, never any customer detail.
    • Write is optional, and only on Apply. The first time you choose to Apply a fix, Shopify asks you to grant one optional write scope, write_products — which lets Legible publish merchant-approved product content (a description rewrite or a structured metafield), only when you click Apply, and every change is independently undoable for 30 days.

    Legible works on Shopify Basic and up.

  2. We sync your catalog

    Legible reads your products, variants, metafields, images, and translations. For stores under 500 SKUs, the first sync takes about 2 minutes. Up to 5,000 SKUs: under 15 minutes. Larger catalogs sync in the background — your dashboard fills in progressively and you can see partial scores immediately. You don't need to wait for the full sync to start exploring.

  3. Get your score and fix list

    Your catalog receives a composite score from 0 to 100 across the six core pillars — and a seventh, multilingual coverage, if you sell in multiple languages. Below the score, the opportunity list ranks every fix by how much it would move your score — descriptions to rewrite, metafields to populate, duplicates to merge, images to caption. Start at the top of the list and work down. Each daily sync refreshes your score as you make changes in Shopify admin.
